Besides being anonymous, Frank “Yass Golem” wrote a novel about the future of this free-adventure scenario on Twitter, explaining how Capcom had been impactful to the survival horror genre when it was released a few years ago, Remake 2: Are. The most recent example is the Tactics Obsil: Reborn. The idea that Square Enix intends to revisit its old franchises is not only official confirmation, but its ambition remains. This word is the best language to describe the whole plot of Parasite Eve, which started out as a novel in 1995 before becoming a movie, manga, then eventually a video game series.

It means that two separate organisms will join into a single new organism. Gematsu notes that Square Enix had a trademark for the term “symbiogenesis” in Japan. The sequel to the novel Parasite Eve just couldn’t seem to match the original. On the other hand, the first game in 2010 followed and Parasite Eve hasn’t been heard yet. Unfortunately, Square Enix did what it did best and failed to capitalize on the success of the game. Parasite Eve grew to become the third highest-selling game in Japan in 1998 and the next year a sequel. It’s not surprising that a Parasite Eve movie will take on an opening. It also helped that it was an M-rated game which allowed the game to tell a darker, adult, story compared to its contemporaries. It was developed with ATB based mechanics like Final Fantasy and combat game like Vagrant Story. That would have written a dangerous story with an eerie environment, but it was a virtual game. If you compare Parasite Eve to Capcom and Konami’s genre frontrunners, Square Enix’s response to survival horror was unique. However, that’s what Parasite Eve achieved. I feel a lot of the time, I wonder if the Resident Evil and Silent Hill were becoming an allies in gaming.
